Amelia "Amy" M. (Dylewski) Sachse, age 92, formerly of Millcreek, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 27, 2012 at the Sarah A. Reed Retirement Center. She was born in Erie on December 6, 1919 a daughter of the late Thomas and Anna (Krainski) Dylewski.
She had worked as a hostess at Lake Shore Country Club. Amelia was a founding member of Our Lady of Peace Church. She enjoyed entertaining and most of all loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed playing bingo and bridge.
Amelia was preceded in death by her husband Emil W. Sachse in 1984; six brothers, Frank, Edward, John, Stanley, Chester and Tom Dylewski; and two sisters Josephine Mankowski and Irene Kissell.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Szkotnicki, husband John of Fairview; her sons, William Sachse, wife Patti and Ronald Sachse, wife Debbie, both of Erie; a sister, Mary Davis; a brother, Robert Dylewski; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Friends are invited to call Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Boulevard, and may attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Peace Church, 2401 West 38th Street on Monday at 1:30 pm.
