Barbara Agresti Rickloff (2010-02-08)

Barbara Agresti Rickloff, age 68, passed away Monday, February 8, 2010, at Millcreek Community Hospital, after a long battle with several medical issues.


Born in Erie on July 8, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Ben L. Agresti and Karyneal Agresti. She is survived by her devoted son, Paul Terry Rickloff, of Erie; sister Lynette Trocki, of McHenry, IL; brother Ben Agresti, of Brownsville, TX; nephews Todd Trocki, wife Kathryn, of McHenry, IL, and Terry Trocki, wife Shannon, of Crystal Lake, IL. She especially enjoyed her grand-nephews, Andrew, Matthew, Joseph, and Bayden, and grand-niece, Auden. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

Barbara graduated from Strong Vincent High School and attended Edinboro State Teachers College. She was employed by the Erie School District as a school secretary and retired from her position at Strong Vincent after many years of service.

During her lifetime, she enjoyed the arts, and most especially, local theatre. She was an avid reader, a lover of animals, and most especially, a lover of people, young and old. Through the years, she developed a large and loyal circle of friends, and will always be remembered for her thoughtfulness, love and loyalty to so many.

Friends may call at the Brugger Home for Funerals, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Boulevard, on Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., and may attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Saint Jude the Apostle Church, 2801 West 6th Street. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.


In memory of Barbara's life, donations may be made to WQLN-TV Public Broadcasting, the A.N.N.A. Animal Shelter, or the Erie Playhouse Youth Theater Scholarship Fund.
