Sylvia Zawistoski Kazmierski, age 96 yrs. a resident of the Regency at South Shore, died Friday, February 19, 2010. She was born in Erie, February 6, 1914, a daughter of the late Camilla Miscichowski and Julian Zawistoski.

Sylvia worked at Mohican Market for 22 years, retiring in 1951. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church, East Erie Turners Ladies Auxiliary and St. Mary’s seniors.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley “Lefty” Kazmierski, four sisters, Florence Zawistoski, Sophia Kielczenski, Helen Miklinski and Genevieve August and one brother, Felix “Phil” Zawistoski. She is survived by two nieces, many great nieces and nephews and a dear friend, Dina Jaskiewicz.

Friends may call at St. Stanislaus Church, 516 East 13 Street on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
