Thomas Michael Hedderman, Jr., 65, of Erie, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2010 after a brief courageous battle with cancer. Born in Pittsburgh, March 12, 1944, he was the son of the late Thomas M. and Elizabeth C. Holahan Hedderman, Sr.

Besides his beloved parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 19 years, Patricia Ann Kulinski Hedderman, who died of cancer at the young age of 45.
He enjoyed 5 years of retirement after a 37 year career in the Claims Department at Erie Insurance. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and was a faithful Irish-Catholic. Tom was always a quiet hero diligently caring for his family and leading by example. It can truly be said that he never lost a friend or made an enemy. With his wry Irish grin, Tom said "Toodles" to this world and could likely be found in heaven sneaking seconds in the cake line!
Tom leaves behind his second wife, Cynthia Zahn Hedderman, whom he married in 2006; three sons, Shawn Hedderman, wife Michele, of Columbus, Ohio, Kevin Hedderman, wife Domini, and Timothy Hedderman, wife Heather, all of Erie; his step-daughters, Tina Asmus, husband Kevin, of Erie, and Krista Flippin, husband Charles, of Allen, Texas;12 grandchildren, Ryan, Rachel, Riley, Andrew, Brennan, Laura, Alayna, Benjamin, Bella-Ann, Ashlyn, Kaylin and Clare; his sister, Veronica Hedderman Kunes, husband George, of Altoona.


Calling hours at the Brugger Home for Funerals, 1595 West 38th at Greengarden, Thursday 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services there Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jude the Apostle Church at 12 Noon. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
