Yolanda A. Klapthor, age 87, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2010 at Saint Mary's Home of Erie.

Born in Dunnington, PA on November 21, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Candito and Julia DePaulo Clemente.
Before retiring, she was an assembler at Marx Toys and Erie General Electric. She loved her grandkids, who were her life, and she enjoyed knitting and cooking. Yolanda always had a smile, and her love and kindness will be greatly missed by her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jack Klapthor, on March 17, 2008; five brothers: Dominick, Anthony, Valen, Frank and Joseph Clemente and a sister Columbia Pulcini. Survivors include a daughter, Julie Nesterick and her husband Mike, of Erie; a son, Jack Klapthor and his wife Kathy, of Erie; three grandchildren, Jason Nesterick, and Anne and Jake Klapthor; a sister, Rose Root; and a brother, Albert Clement. Friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brugger Home for Funerals, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Boulevard, and may attend a service there Thursday at 1 p.m., with Rev. Dwayne Cole officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. |
