Vittorio Snidarich, age 89, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2010 at Golden Living Center Western Reserve. Born in Cittanova, Italy on December 8, 1920.

Vittorio was in the Special Police in the Italian Army during WW II. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church. He worked at Hammermill paper company for 32 years retiring in 1984. He enjoyed gardening and making wine.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maria (Cattunar) Snidarich; a daughter, Julia Anysz and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Widomski and her husband David, of Erie; a son, Frank Snidarich and his wife Sara, of Erie; a son in law, Bernard Anysz, of Erie, 5 grandchildren, Daniel (Tara) and Michael Anysz, Lisa and Valerie Snidarich and Jacob Widomski, three great grandchildren, Dominic, Brittany and Devin.

Friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brugger Home for Funerals, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Boulevard, and may attend a service there Thursday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church at 10 o'clock.
