Marion Y. (Yakowloff) Sirak, age 84, of Fairview, passed away peacefully at Fairview Manor after a brief illness, Tuesday, February 7, 2017. Born in Erie, April 8, 1932, she was a daughter of the late George and Fanny (Kaplonof) Yakowloff.
Marion enjoyed gardening and crocheting, going to casinos and shopping, especially with her daughters. She liked taking car rides and going out for ice cream. She also enjoyed her afternoon soap operas and spending time with her grandchildren and playing with her daughter’s dogs.
In addition to her parents, Marion was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Joseph E. Sirak, Sr.; a daughter, Cynthia Munch and siblings, Kathryn Konieczko, John Yakowloff, Martha Stempka, Mary Lewandowski and Irene Yakowloff.
She is survived by three children, Karen Daley (Lawrence), of Millcreek, Lisa Sirak (Karl Weixlmann), of Millcreek and Joseph E. Sirak (Donna), of Girard; seven grandchildren, Angela Munch, of Millcreek, Fred Munch (Jessica), of Millcreek, Robert Munch (Lindsey), of Mentor, Ohio, Cara Daley, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Dominic Daley, of Detroit, Emily Sirak, of Erie and Kyle Weixlmann, of Millcreek.
The Sirak family would like to thank all of the staff, nurses and caregivers that took care of Marion over the past month.
Friends are invited to call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 W. 38th St. at Greengarden Blvd., Friday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 9 p.m., and are invited to a funeral service there, Saturday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Shane Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
