Louise A. (Behrendt-Daub) Pakulski, age 90, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Elmwood Gardens, following an extended illness. Born May 7, 1926, in Newark, N.J., she was the daughter of the late John and Oliva Behrendt.
Louise grew up and attended school in Erie. As a young lady, Louise worked in her family’s restaurant until she married and began raising a family. Later, Louise also worked as a cashier and bookkeeper for Rea and Derick Drug Store. After retirement, Louise spent several years sewing beautiful dolls and attending craft shows with her own business, “Soft Dolls by Lou.” Louise took great pride in homemaking and spending time with her family and pets.
In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by husbands, Raymond Daub and Frank Pakulski; two sons, Raymond Daub and Ronald Daub; brothers, Paul, John and Fred Behrendt.
Louise is survived by her son, Gary Daub and his wife, Martha; daughter-in-law, Nancy Daub; grandchildren, Ronisue Tyson, Vicki Risjan and husband Randy, Jennifer Williams and husband Pete; great-grandchildren, Amanda Smith, Dillon Strong and Kamren Williams; sisters, Joan Peters and Romana Cook and a brother, Robert Behrendt, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Louise will be greatly missed by those who loved her. She was adored by her family and was a true example of strength and perseverance.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Elmwood Gardens and AseraCare Hospice for their exceptional care and kindness.
Private arrangements are under the direction of Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 W. 38th St., at Greengarden Blvd. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
