          Anthony P. “Tony” “Andy” Bianchi, age 93, of Erie, passed away Saturday October 7, 2017 at St. Mary’s Home of Erie. He was born in Erie, August 24, 1924, a son of the late Peter and Linda (DeDionisio) Bianchi.

          Tony was a graduate of Academy High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII and participated in the Battle of the Bulge. After his discharge from the service, Tony was Co-Owner of White’s Market on Buffalo Road until his retirement. He was a member of Holy Rosary Church, the American Legion Carl Neff Post, the Star, Moose, and St. Mary’s Clubs as well as the Lawrence Park Golf Club.

          In addition to his parents Tony was preceded in death by two brothers; Robert Paul Bianchi and Peter Richard Bianchi.

Survivors include his sister, Gloria Bianchi, of Erie and two brothers, Edward Thomas Bianchi, of Fairview and Raymond J. Bianchi, and his wife Carol Elizabeth, of Lexington, Ky. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

          Friends are invited to call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pine Avenue Branch, 845 East 38th St., Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of services at 12:30 p.m., followed by the funeral Mass at Holy Rosary Church at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
