Daniel J. Voto, Sr., age 94, of Millcreek, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at his residence.  Born May 30, 1923 in Erie he was a son of the late Patsy and Carmella (Martino) Voto.

           Dan attended Strong Vincent High School and graduated from Henry Ford High School in Detroit. He served in the United States Coast Guard during WWII., and worked as a machinist at Autoclave Engineering for many years until his retirement in 1986. Dan was a very active member of the St. Paul Church Choir. He loved music and was a self-taught musician who played the piano, he enjoyed crossword puzzles and doing yardwork.

           Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy A. (LaRiccia) Voto in 2003; two daughter-in-laws; Joann Voto and Jennifer Voto; a grandson, Matthew Voto and his seven siblings; Agatha Moore, Jean Geniviva, Margaret Voto, Mary DelTerzo, louis Voto, Frances Heberlein and Albert Voto.

           Survivors include three sons, Daniel J. Voto, wife Betty, Patsy Voto, and Richard J. Voto, wife Lisa, all of Erie, 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, his sister in law, Jean Voto, of Sarasota, FL., and many nieces and nephews.

           Friends may call on Thursday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th St. at Greengarden Blvd. and are invited to attend the funeral mass at St. Paul R.C. Church, 1617 Walnut St. on Friday at 10:00a.m.  Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Great Lakes Hospice, 302 French St. Erie, PA. 16507.
