Edna Mae (Will) Hetherington, age 91, a resident of Forestview Skilled Nursing Center, died at St. Vincent Health Center, Friday, May 4, 2012. Born in Erie, she was a daughter of the late George and Clara (Schnell) Will. Edna had previously worked in the china department at the Boston Store and also at G.E., in the payroll department. She was a longtime member of St. Mark the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, in Lawrence Park. She enjoyed reading and loved the outdoors and family gatherings. Hobbies included sewing and crocheting. She was also a wonderful cook. In addition to her parent, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Hetherington, in 2009; a daughter, Judith Reichard, in 1993; a brother, Jay Will and a sister, Arlene Helsel. Survivors include 2 daughters, Carole Eisert, husband Michael, of Silver Spring, MD and Deborrah Adams, husband John, of Erie; 2 sons, Robert F. Hetherington, Jr., wife Karen, of Ripley, N.Y. and Ronald Hetherington, of Erie; a brother, George Will, wife Wanda, of Erie; 2 sisters, Marilyn Amthor, of Erie and Marjorie Patrick, of Keene, N.H.; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 W. 38th St., at Greengarden Blvd., Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. and to attend prayers there Monday at 8:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at St. Jude the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Edna\'s family would like to thank the wonderful nurses at both Forestview and St. Vincent for their compassionate care.
