Beverly Duffin, age 80 of Harborcreek, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 at her residence. Born January 11, 1937 to Frances I Kleckner and Richard Duffin—raised by step father Neil Kleckner.

 

Bev had become part of her sister Bonnie’s immediate family when she took her in to care for her. Some of her favorite pastimes with her family included Seawolves baseball, watching her nephews and niece in all their activities including football, tae kwon do, marching band, school musicals and the many family picnics.

 

Bev loved her lunch bingo family at Life Works. She loved to attend their holiday parties and get togethers with her sister Bonnie. She also loved her Wayne Park Baptist Church family. She was a long-time member and sang in the church choir for more than 50 years. She was employed with the Erie school district repairing library and text books from all over the city, a job she loved for 32 years retiring in December of 2016.

 

Proceeded in death by: her parents, her grandmothers Edith Duffin and Edna May Spiegel; niece and nephew Regina and John Ziegler; longtime companion and best friend Bradley Johnson; brothers Neil Kleckner, Jack Kleckner, Bill Hall and sister Virginia Meyers.

 

Survived by sister Bonnie Ziegler, niece and great niece Kelli and Izabelle Ziegler with whom she resided; brothers William Duffin (Donna) of FL and Donald Duffin (Pauline) of Erie; sisters Cheryl Mincoff (Ken) of VA and Gloria Throop of North East as well as many other nieces and nephews.

 

Friends may call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pine Avenue Branch, 845 East 38th St. Wednesday from 4 until the time of services at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor David Leninsky of Wayne Park Baptist Church officiating.

 

We would like to give a special thank you to Cheryl Burgess (niece), Jennifer Nam (great niece), Kim Koch (niece), Sherrie Ziegler(niece) and Keri Carr (niece) for all their help and assistance during her last few weeks with us.
