          Mary Ann (Young) Weiser, 83 of Millcreek, Pennsylvania passed away on November 22, 2018 early Thanksgiving morning surrounded by her family after a short illness.

          Mary was born in Sandusky, Ohio, on November 25, 1934 and raised in Erie. She was preceded in death by her mother Florence Weber Young, her beloved grandfather Charles Weber “Gramps” and her brother Robert A. Young. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Richard S. Weiser, who worshipped the ground she walked on, four children Kathryn A. (John) Gorman of Pittsburgh PA, Anne M. (Gregory) Cooney of Sarasota FL, Dr. Richard S. (Judy) Weiser, Jr of Strongsville, OH and Michelle (Steve) Cappellino of Meadville, PA. Also survived by thirteen grandchildren: Philip (Colleen) Gorman, Julia and Anna Gorman, Caroline Cooney (Matt) Kellinger, Robert (Melissa) Cooney, Lauren Cooney (Guillaume) Sandor, Maura Weiser (Greg) Airel, Richard S, III, Joseph and John Weiser, Danielle, Nicole, and Anthony Cappellino and four great grandchildren Aubrey, Camden, Logan and Miller.

          Mary is also survived by her brothers Richard and Paul Young and sister Margaret Dunn, as well as many nieces and nephews.

          She graduated from Villa Maria Academy, Class of ‘52. She spent her life helping and caring for everyone around her. She was an exceptional seamstress who created beautiful clothes, blankets, curtains, or whatever her family needed, with a joy and attention to detail that was unparalleled. She was a formidable ping pong player and even let her children and grandchildren win a game once in a while!

          Friends may call at Brugger Funeral Home and Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Blvd. on Sunday November 25th from 1-4 and 6-8 pm.  A service will be held there Monday November 26th at 9:30 am followed by a funeral mass at Our Lady of Peace Church at 10 am. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
