          Alphonse A. “Al” Buffalari, Jr., age 75, of Erie, passed away at Manchester Commons on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 after a lengthy illness. Born in Erie, June 12, 1943, he was a son of the late Alphonse and Constance (Frontino) Buffalari.

          Al was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the war in Vietnam. He was employed by Fenestra Corp. as a press operator, and later worked in maintenance for St. Andrew Catholic Church, and later for Kingsley U.M. Church. He enjoyed fishing, coaching, playing bocce and gardening. He also loved spending time with his family.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua Buffalari.

          He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sharon (Roloff) Buffalari; his four children, Anthony Buffalari, wife Kim, of Erie, Jeffrey Buffalari, wife Shelley, of Erie, Debra Van Mater, husband Ben, of Pittsburgh, Deanne Tennant, husband Dan, of New Wilmington, Pa.; seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Thomas, Michael, Elena, Patrick, Gabriel, and Zachary; a great-granddaughter, Keira; three siblings, Jennie Hagerty, husband Chris, James Buffalari, wife Lisa and Linda Abreu; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

          Friends are invited to call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 W. 38th St. at Greengarden Blvd., Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., and may attend a funeral service at Kingsley United Methodist Church, 913 Cranberry Street, Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Phillipsville-Union Cemetery in Wattsburg.
